About Speakman Law

Our History

Speakman Law was founded in 2010 by its principal, Peter Speakman. Peter has over 30 years’ experience in law as a specialist in tax, trusts, corporate and commercial law. Prior to establishing Speakman Law Peter was a partner and board member at Brookfields and later at Kensington Swan where he was also head of the corporate division. Peter is supported in the practice by Natalie Stewart who is also a highly experienced commercial lawyer and by Kelly Hunt who runs the office.

Clients of Speakman Law comprise some multi-nationals and a suite of locally owned small to medium enterprises. They span a variety of industriesincluding flexible packaging, building componentry, financial investment, private tertiary education, foundries, manufacturing, professional services, IT, waste management, and freight forwarding.

Peter hosts separate specialist discussion groups in the corporate, taxation and trusts areas. In each of those areas he is recognised as a pioneer.
